Had a great experience and they allow dogs! We like to take our pups on adventures and the competitor no longer accepts dogs. If you have a K9 this is your place!
Also located on the property is a primitive campground. The campground is well kept and clean. Day trippers can also grill and eat on the banks of the river.
Took the 2 hour canoe trip and it was nothing short of perfect. Such beautiful scenery, perfect, clear water. Mostly shaded by trees so perfect for hot days. Cannot wait to go again.
Was pretty excited to try this place out. Then read that they don't allow Pit bulls or Rottweilers.... I'm sure if someone were to be taking there dog canoeing, they are probably a well behaved dog. It's not 1990 any more... Do you have restrictions on which races are allowed also?
Not sure about the negative comments. Saw a lot of stupidity on the river by the customers, no wonder they take 4 hours to get 5 miles. And who can blame the staff for not letting them start the second half at 4 pm.
Parking is ample in the immediate and overflow lots. This is a great day trip for those taking the shorter routes, but, for those going on the 10 mile trip down the river, I recommend you stay overnight at the campground to rest after a long day on the river.
The river is fantastic and we have seen deer, mink and beaver sign. The river flow is such that you really don't need to paddle much beyond correcting your course. The canoes, vans and gear on par with other livery we have used

Also, there are different boat types to choose from. You can select a 2-person canoe, a kayak, or even a tube. Renovated school busses ferry customers to the drop in sight; which, depending on your age, can be a bit of an adventure in-and-of itself.
